Tired and Sore

I forgot to mention that we got wet yesterday morning for two hours.  We had a lot of thunder and lightening, but not all that much rain. It did break our string of perfect weather.

Today was 113, but there was disagreement on how much climbing was envolved.  Denis' Garamon registered over 8,000 feet; Scott's showed 10,000.  There was no disagreement on how tough it was.  Two very hard days in a row.  Tomorrow is 115 miles, but much less climbing.

One thing is certain.  No one is concerned about the wind any more.  We've left the West behind and we're seeing 10 mph, rather than, 30.  With all the trees were riding through, it really wouldn't bother too much.  The only thing we're interested in now hills.  Multiple centuries are ok, but dang those MO hllls.

Gen, one of our guides, stopped by an antique shop during the ride and bought an ammo belt as an accessory to a sexy, black  dress.

My back is taking a lot of abuse.  The two spinal injections have  long sense worn off.

  1. Hang in there. Get aggressive with the recovery of the back, sooner rather than later. Would breaks help? That's some pretty country.
